Twenty years ago, I bought a home in a lovely neighborhood. My husband and I were able to afford it because when you entered the home….well, let’s just say, it was kind of ugly. I had a vision for this beautiful, neglected old home. On my tight budget, I decorated and made it what it once was in it’s glory days. Consequently, people would come into our home and ask if I would decorate their home. I soon realized it was a match made in heaven and understood why, from an early age, I have always been enamored with homes, furniture, and art.

Ever since I was little, I craved creativity. Because of this, I experienced a certain restlessness in my previous careers in advertising and event planning. Once I began working with my mother, I finally found the endless creativity I was searching. I love how every project is different and styles are ever changing, but best of all, I love learning impeccable interior design from the woman I admire most, my mother. After recently finding the sweet note pictured below from my sixth grade art portfolio, I guess I knew I was destined for interior design all along.

Ever since I was a little kid, my two favorite things have always been playing house and dress-up. There is something about fluid textiles, beautiful paints, and “forever home” pieces of furniture that have not only inspired me but have captivated me from an early age. Being a newlywed has not only increased my love of home decor but also made me creative and savvy when decorating on a budget. When I became a homeowner, I had the profound realization that with patience and creativity, anyone can achieve the elegance and comfort they look for in their home while also keeping an eye on the bottom line. I strive to think outside the box to find the perfect pieces to transform any living space into a home you can truly be proud of.
