This amazing home was built on the water by a Sea Captain. It is truly magnificent with its massive center hallway, large rooms and high ceilings. When its current owner, CB, put her mark on it, she painted the walls with some lovely colors and even did murals of world maps on the walls. She lightened the once dark interiors immensely. She painted all of the dark trim white, placed her lovely paintings everywhere and lived in it for several years. Then she asked us to help change things up; make it more comfortable looking, more monochromatic, and more inviting.

This is how we collaborated: we gave her some suggestions on what to do and we hit antique shops, scaled the internet and yes, even wholesale clubs. In the end, we found the fine balance of designing the rooms to radiate CB’s effortless style while enhancing the magnificent character of the home.
